McDonald’s Offering New Menu, A Kid’s Program And A Global Online Game For The Olympics

The Olympic Games in Beijing this summer is the biggest sponsorship program that McDonald’s is launching to date, and offering new products across the globe. It will include new menu items, a kid’s program and a global online game.
In Latin America they’ve added a Beijing Burger and Rice Sticks, in Russia they’ve added Chicken and Fish sandwiches and a Shrimp Salad and many more globally. In Australia it will include a “Flavor of the Games” promotion and will offer customers give different burgers during the Games including The American, The Euro, The African, The Asian and The Australian. In the US, they will promote their newly launched Southern Style Chicken and feature nine Olympic and Paralympic athletes on its cups and bags.
The McDonald’s Champion Kids program will allow 200 children from 40 countries to visit Beijing to experience the Games, see the Olympic Village, see China and meet the athletes.
Currently online the game “The Lost Ring” has 2 million people from 100 countries playing the game. The game includes online and offline parts to find 27 artifacts hidden all over the world and solve the mystery. The game includes a newly unveiled blogger, Track and Field Olympic Gold Medalist Edwin Moses.
